Ingredients

Ceremonial grade raw cacao, coconut milk powder, coconut sugar, mesquite, maca, ashwaganda, reishi, rose petals.

Healing Properties

Raw Cacao: Rich in magnesium, it aids in muscle relaxation and may alleviate postpartum muscle tension. The presence of mood-enhancing compounds can contribute to a balanced emotional state. Cacao's iron content supports replenishing nutrient stores after childbirth, addressing potential postpartum fatigue.

Maca: Maca is often touted for its potential benefits for postpartum mothers. Known as an adaptogen, maca may help balance hormones, address fatigue, and support energy levels. Its rich nutrient profile, including vitamins and minerals, can aid in postpartum recovery and overall well-being.

Coconut milk powder: Delivering essential fatty acids for brain function and hormone balance. Rich in MCTs, it offers a quick and stable energy source, while its vitamins and minerals replenish nutrient stores. The hydrating properties and potential to enhance lactation contribute to postpartum recovery.

Reishi: In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), reishi is considered a potent herb for postpartum mothers. It is believed to nourish the blood, tonify the Qi (vital energy), and support the Shen (spirit). Reishi's adaptogenic properties enhance the body's ability to cope with stress and restore balance. From a TCM perspective, it's recommended to address postpartum fatigue, support hormonal balance, and fortify the body's overall resilience during the delicate postpartum period.

Ashwagandha: An adaptogen helping the body cope with stress and fatigue, ashwaganda may aid in restoring hormonal balance, crucial for postpartum well-being. Known for its grounding properties, ashwagandha can alleviate stress and support a balanced mood. Additionally, it may enhance energy levels, addressing postpartum fatigue.

Rose: With anti-inflammatory and soothing properties, the scent of rose has a calming effect, uplifting the spirit during the postpartum period. With antidepressant and sedative qualities, roses can help navigate mood changes. Rich in vitamin C, rose supports tissue repair.

Cinnamon: Cinnamon is beneficial for postpartum mothers as it aids in stabilizing blood sugar levels. Its compounds support balanced insulin response, potentially assisting in managing postpartum glucose levels. This stabilizing effect can contribute to overall well-being during the postpartum period. Cinnamon supports digestion and brings a comforting warmth to the spirit.

Directions

Ask the Herbalist

Q: I'm not fond of warm drinks; I never manage to drink them hot being a new Mom. Is there another way to incorporate this into something else?

A: Yes! You can use it as a smoothie booster, add it to your oats in the AM or even make it into popsicles in summer for the whole family.

Q: Can I drink the Le t it Flow Latte while pregnant?

A: Adaptogenic drinks and supplements aren't recommended during pregnancy, even though in ancient cultures they have been using them for thousands of years to support healthy gestation. Our Western culture tends to err on the side of caution with anything around pregnant women. So we say check in with your health care professional first if you wanted to make the Let It Flow latte part of your weekly diet.
